  • Conferences in September 2025September 14, 2025
    In September 2025, members of the Ptolemaic Pathyris Project actively contributed to the international scholarly arena by participating in three major conferences: the EAA 2025 Annual Meeting in Belgrade, Current Research in Egyptology in Cairo, and the XIth European Conference of Egyptologists in Bucharest. Further underscoring the project’s visibility, the Principal Investigator will also deliver a paper later this month at the XXIV Convegno di Egittologia e Papirologia.
  • “A preliminary report on the demotic Gebelein temple archive”February 11, 2025
    Prof. Dr. Joachim Friedrich Quack from the University of Heidelberg will share his current research results in his talk entitled “A preliminary report on the demotic Gebelein temple archive”. The talk will take place in Majewski Room at the Polish Academy of Sciences. Address: 72 Nowy Świat Street, Warsaw and online on MS Temas at 1 PM (CET).     Aneta Skalec will participate in the workshop Aqua Paphia. The Use and Meaning of Water in Hellenistic-Roman Nea Paphos and beyond (IMOC PAS, 05-06 July 2024) with a paper entitled „Pathyris’ water supply and canal system in the Ptolemaic period”. 

30th EAA Annual Meeting in Rome, 28 – 31 August 2024

Aneta Skalec and Wojciech Ejsmond will participate in the conference 30th EAA Annual Meeting in Rome (28 – 31 August 2024) with a paper entitled “Ancient, archival, and modern sources combined within the Ptolemaic Pathyris Project (Egypt)”.

Aneta Skalec will participate in the conference Current Research in Egyptology 2024 in Liverpool (2-6 September) with a paper entitled “Ptolemaic Pathyris Project – interdisciplinary research on the urban layout and domestic architecture of the town”.
